In order to thoroughly carry out legal publicity for teenagers, enhance their awareness of the rule of law, effectively protect minors, and safeguard their healthy growth, on the morning of December 27, 2023, Huang Jianfeng, a party member and intern lawyer from Tongwang (Wuzhou) Law Firm, conducted a special legal education lecture on "Preventing Juvenile Delinquency" for more than 30 teachers and students of Wuzhou No. 2 Experimental Primary School at the Guangxi Tongwang (Wuzhou) Law Firm in the Wanzhou District Youth Public Interest Legal Consultation and Service Base.
In the lecture, intern lawyer Huang Jianfeng, with the theme of "Preventing Juvenile Delinquency", explained the relationship between crime and adolescents, the relationship between violation and crime, what behaviors of minors are illegal, the difference between bad behaviors and serious bad behaviors, what is crime, and what adolescents should do in six aspects. Through examples in the daily life of adolescents, he guided the students to think about the connection between law and their own lives, in a simple and easy-to-understand way, gradually and patiently, while popularizing legal knowledge, let the students understand the process of adolescents going from bad behavior to illegal crime. Finally, lawyer Huang Jianfeng gave the students a message to "cherish learning opportunities, improve identification ability, be cautious in making friends, do not be vain and compare, enhance awareness of prevention, and master self-rescue skills" to end this meaningful special lecture on legal education.
In October 2023, the Wanzhou District Youth Public Interest Legal Consultation and Service Base was established in Guangxi Tongwang (Wuzhou) Law Firm, covering multiple legal characteristic functional spaces such as legal consultation, legal lecture hall, and legal publicity column, aiming to establish a scientific and standardized protection mechanism and build a solid legal barrier to protect minors. The base has formed a volunteer service team of public interest lawyers for the protection of youth rights, and through public interest legal services, conducts legal practical research related to the protection of minors for young people, strengthens guidance on the legal weaknesses of young people, and provides corresponding legal consultation services.
In the future, Tongwang lawyers will create characteristic legal publicity and education brand projects such as youth legal consultation, youth legal lectures, legal counsel for minors, and youth legal research, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of minors, further improve the effectiveness of youth rights protection work, and escort the healthy and sunny growth of young people.
