On the afternoon of December 22, 2023, Tongwang organized all employees to study "The Rules of the All China Lawyers Association on Prohibiting Irregular Speculation of Cases (Trial Implementation)" in the Tongwang Law Lecture Hall. Huang Wenxin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the law firm, gave a special lecture on "Preventing Practice Risks - The Boundary and Scale of Lawyers' Speech", leading everyone to deeply interpret the "Rules".
The lecture was explained from six aspects: (1) The meaning and types of lawyer practice risks; (2) The specific circumstances of irregular speculation of cases; (3) The norms that lawyers and law firms should abide by when disclosing case information; (4) Issues that lawyers and law firms should pay attention to when commenting on major decisions, public events, and legal issues; (5) Issues that lawyers and law firms should pay attention to when publishing comments on public platforms; (6) Management responsibilities and penalties of law firms and lawyers associations. Combining with cases, the lecture requires every practicing lawyer to accurately understand and strictly implement the "Rules", implement the various contents and requirements of the "Rules" into the whole process and all aspects of practice, faithfully fulfill the duties and missions of socialist rule of law workers with Chinese characteristics, and practice law honestly and in accordance with laws and regulations.
Through the centralized study of the "Rules", Tongwang lawyers have expressed that they will adhere to the bottom line and red line of practice, be cautious in words and deeds, maintain self-discipline, strictly abide by the "Rules", consciously resist the behavior of irregular speculation of cases outside the court, especially on self-media platforms, further maintain a good practice environment of integrity and fairness, maintain the image of the lawyer industry, and maintain judicial justice.
