To further leverage the guiding and safeguarding role of the rule of law, enhance legal awareness among young people, and foster a sound legal environment for the protection of minors, the Wanzhou District Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Wanzhou District Bureau of Justice, and Guangxi Tongwang (Wuzhou) Law Firm jointly inaugurated the Wanzhou District Youth Public Welfare Legal Consultation and Service Base on October 27, 2023. Deng Shiqing, Secretary of the Wanzhou District Committee of the Communist Youth League, Zhang Shaobing, Director of the Wanzhou District Bureau of Justice, Huang Jianjun, Director of Guangxi Tongwang (Wuzhou) Law Firm, along with relevant heads from the Wanzhou District People's Court, the Wanzhou District People's Procuratorate, and the Wanzhou District Legal Aid Center, attended the ceremony.
The Wanzhou District Youth Public Welfare Legal Consultation and Service Base, situated within Guangxi Tongwang (Wuzhou) Law Firm, encompasses various legally-focused functional areas, including legal consultation services, a rule of law lecture hall, and a legal popularization section. It aims to establish a scientific and standardized protection mechanism, building a robust legal shield for minors. The base has established a volunteer service team of public welfare lawyers dedicated to protecting the rights and interests of young people. Through public welfare legal services, it conducts practical legal research related to the protection of minors, provides enhanced guidance on areas where young people have legal weaknesses, and offers corresponding legal consultation services. The base will develop distinctive legal publicity and education programs, such as youth legal consultation services, youth rule of law lectures, legal counsel for minors, and youth legal popularization research, to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of minors and ensure their healthy development.
Subsequently, various departments and Tongwang lawyers conducted exchange seminars, focusing on the protection of minors, building a pattern of youth legal education, and deepening the comprehensive judicial protection of minors, and conducted in-depth exchanges.
In the next step, Tongwang lawyers will take the Wanzhou District Youth Public Welfare Legal Consultation and Service Base as a working position, innovate the working mode, integrate the strength of youth legal publicity and education, gather a strong legal joint force to protect the healthy growth of young people, further improve the effectiveness of youth rights protection, and escort the healthy and sunny growth of young people.
