On the afternoon of January 10, 2020, the 2019 work summary meeting of the Criminal Department of Guangxi Tongwang Law Firm was held at the Nanning headquarters of Tongwang. At the beginning of the meeting, Chen Zhen, Deputy Director of the Criminal Department, and the participants jointly studied the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Party. The meeting also studied the 'Criminal Procedure Rules of the People's Procuratorate' issued by the Supreme People's Procuratorate on December 31, 2019. Lawyer Chen Zhen emphasized that as criminal lawyers, the criminal procedure rules of the procuratorate are closely related to our work, and the first time to study and research the 'Rules' is the basic requirement for us to do a good job in criminal defense.

Nong Xuan, director of the Criminal Department, commented on this study activity and proposed that the study and research of the new rules is a long process. In addition to timely understanding the content and characteristics of the new rules, it is more important to continuously combine the actual work to conduct a more in-depth exploration of the new rules, so as to improve the quality of our handling of criminal cases and better safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the parties.

At the work summary meeting, the director and deputy director of the Criminal Department first made a work report on their respective responsibilities. Reviewing the work in 2019, the deputy directors and directors reported and summarized the case approval, learning and training, business undertaking, and marketing aspects they were responsible for, and put forward new requirements and expectations for the work focus and development direction in 2020.

At the end of the meeting, Huang Yuhua, Executive Deputy Director of Guangxi Tongwang Law Firm, gave guidance on the work of the Criminal Department in 2019.
