In the golden autumn of September, as a new school year begins, Guangxi Tongwang (Wuzhou) Law Firm sent Huang Wenjuan and Luo Xiong (intern), Party member lawyers, to Wuzhou No. 1 Middle School on September 13, 2021, to further strengthen campus legal publicity and education and deliver the "first legal class of the semester." Representing the law firm's Party branch, they conducted a "Bringing the Law to Campus, Donating Books to Help Students, and Offering Love" event. Li Yongmei, Vice Principal of Wuzhou No. 1 Middle School, and Zhang Yunche, Director of the Safety and Stability Office, attended the event, which was participated in by over 60 teachers and students from the school's junior high division.
Following the donation ceremony, Luo Xiong (intern), a Party member lawyer, delivered a lecture entitled "The Civil Code's Protection of Us." He covered three aspects: "Introduction to the Civil Code," "Your Legal Status," and "How the Civil Code Protects Us Throughout Life." He introduced legal provisions regarding civil capacity and the age of criminal responsibility, addressing popular topics like minors spending money on live streams, game recharges, and school bullying. Using relatable anecdotes, he provided a lively legal education class for the students. The lecture was engaging, with enthusiastic students actively asking questions and interacting with the lawyers.
This activity is one of the series of party building activities of the Guangxi Tongwang (Wuzhou) Law Firm’s party branch to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party. It aims to "Promote the spirit of the rule of law and build a harmonious campus", guide students to be accompanied by books and friends with the law, enhance knowledge, establish legal beliefs, and contribute the strength of lawyers to popularizing legal education and promoting campus legal construction to a new level.
