2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. To thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Party, and to solidly carry out Party history learning and education activities to stimulate the enthusiasm of the majority of Party members in loving the Party and the country, on May 22, 2021, the Guangxi Tongwang (Liuzhou) Law Firm Party Branch organized a series of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and visited the Jiuhaijing Red Army Memorial Park of the Xiangjiang Battle Xinwei Blocking Battle in Guanyang County, Guilin for study.

In the Xinwei Blocking Battle History Exhibition Hall, we admired the revolutionary martyrs, and with extremely heavy and respectful feelings, we listened to and reviewed the tragic history of the Red Army's bloodshed in the Xiangjiang River and its heroic spirit.

In this event, we specially invited Teacher Hu Haiyuan from the Guanyang County Party School to tell us about the painful and tragic history of the Red Army martyrs who died in Jiuhaijing. Jiuhaijing is located in Xialiawan Village, Xinwei, and is a deep karst cave connected to an underground river. In November 1934, during the Guanyang Xinwei Blocking Battle, the Red Army's temporary infirmary was set up in the Jiang's Ancestral Hall in Xialiawan Village. After the battle, due to the urgency of the situation, the Red Army failed to transfer the sick and wounded in time. The Kuomintang reactionaries, colluding with local tyrants and evil gentry, tied up more than 100 Red Army sick and wounded in the infirmary and cruelly threw them into the underground river of Jiuhaijing, and more than 100 sick and wounded all sacrificed.

In order to experience the spirit of the Long March, all the personnel came to the Guilin Ziyuan County Bajiaozhai Scenic Area to carry out a hiking and mountain climbing activity. Through a 6-hour hike, crossing thousands of meters of high mountains and traversing cliffs, all the personnel truly felt the hardship of the Red Army's Long March, and thus cherished today's hard-won good life even more, prompting everyone to actively devote themselves to work and life with a fuller spirit and high morale!
