On the afternoon of February 24, the Standing Committee of the Nanning Municipal People's Congress held its 33rd meeting of the 14th Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress. During the meeting, the unveiling ceremony of the "Nanning Municipal People's Congress Local Legislation Consultation Service Base" was held. The unveiling ceremony was presided over by Zhou Rusi, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Nanning Municipal People's Congress. Huang Qiangguang, director of Tongwang Law Firm, accepted the plaque personally awarded by Feng Xuejun, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Standing Committee of the Nanning Municipal People's Congress. This is another important achievement made by Tongwang Law Firm in serving local legislation work after being approved by the Standing Committee of the Guangxi Autonomous Region People's Congress in 2018 to establish the "Guangxi Local Legislation Research, Evaluation and Consultation Service Base."
Feng Xuejun, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, said in his speech that the establishment of the Nanning Municipal People's Congress Local Legislation Consultation Service Base is an important measure to implement Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law, broaden the orderly participation of third parties in local legislation, promote scientific, democratic, and law-based legislation in depth, and focus on improving the quality of legislation. He encouraged the authorized base to cherish its honor, assume its responsibilities, comprehensively strengthen its own construction, actively participate in and cooperate with relevant legislative work, give full play to its professional advantages, and serve as a "think tank" for the Nanning Municipal People's Congress's legislation.
