Nanning Garden Expo Park
Nanning Garden Expo Park is the venue for the 12th China International Garden Expo, located in the Dingsishan area on the banks of the Bachichiang River in Yongning District. It is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, covering an area of 263 hectares and planting more than 1,600 kinds of plants. It was built and opened in December 2018. There are 18 hills, native mountain forests, clear spring, muddy spring, lakes, ponds, and wetlands in the park, forming a landscape pattern of mountains and rivers with rich regional characteristics. The Garden Expo Park has five theme exhibition areas: China City Exhibition Garden, ASEAN Garden, Silk Road Garden, Guangxi Garden, and Designer Garden, with a total of 69 exhibition gardens. It has created a number of boutique attractions such as Southeast Asian Characteristic Botanical Garden, Podocarpus Garden, Mining Pit Garden, Reed Stack Pond, and Bougainvillea Garden. The six iconic main buildings, including Qingquan Pavilion, Livable City Pavilion, and China-ASEAN Friendship Pavilion, interpret the local architectural culture of Guangxi and display the beauty of the region. Nanning Garden Expo Park is a major public welfare project serving the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is the first international garden expo built in ethnic minority areas and co-constructed by ASEAN countries and cities along the 'Belt and Road'.
