Respecting Teachers and Valuing Education, Giving Thanks and Giving Back - Tongwang Band Invited to Participate in the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Restoration of Legal Education at Guangxi Normal University

On the morning of November 13, 2022, the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the restoration of law education at Guangxi Normal University was grandly held at the Yanshan Campus of the university in Guilin. The Tongwang Band, led by the Youth Lawyers Committee of Guangxi Tongwang Law Firm, was invited to participate. Wang Qianfeng, Executive Director of Tongwang, and more than ten alumni of the School of Law of Guangxi Normal University attended the celebration.

In order to promote the spirit of respecting teachers and valuing education, and to thank the School of Law of Guangxi Normal University for its strong support to Tongwang Law Firm over the years, the Tongwang Band carefully rehearsed two wonderful songs in their spare time and was invited to participate in the celebration. The first song is 'Glorious Years' released by the Beyond band in 1991, expressing the Tongwang alumni's praise for the 30 years of glorious years of law education at Guangxi Normal University; the second song is 'Tongwang Song', with original lyrics and music by Tongwang lawyers, self-written, self-directed, and self-performed, the song style is positive and inspiring, dedicated to all students who are committed to the legal profession. The passionate performance of all the actors of the Tongwang Band showed the high-spirited spirit of the Tongwang lawyers and won waves of cheers and praise from the celebration site. The leaders and students attending the meeting said that they did not expect that Guangxi lawyers could produce such professional, wonderful, and enjoyable programs.

The Tongwang Band consists of Huang Weilun, director of the Youth Lawyers Committee of Tongwang Law Firm, deputy directors Xu Xiaoye and Xiong Wei, and other young lawyers Feng Shunqiang, He Caibin, intern lawyers Chen Chao, and Su Yujun.

The School of Law of Guangxi Normal University is a high-flying banner of local law education in Guangxi. In recent years, it has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents with legal beliefs for both inside and outside Guangxi. In Tongwang Law Firm alone, 17 of the current 203 Tongwang people graduated from the School of Law of Guangxi Normal University, and the strong alumni friendship of Guangxi Normal University flows deeply in the blood of Tongwang people.

In recent years, the School of Law of Guangxi Normal University has established a law education practice base in Tongwang Law Firm, which has sent batches of outstanding students to Tongwang Law Firm to participate in rich social practice activities. With the strong support of Wuhan University, the School of Law of Guangxi University, and the School of Law of Guangxi Normal University, Guangxi Tongwang Applied Jurisprudence Research Institute, the first private applied jurisprudence research institution with independent legal personality in China, was initiated and established with the approval of the Department of Justice of the Autonomous Region and the registration of the Department of Civil Affairs of the Autonomous Region. In addition, the 'Tongwang Law Firm Education Award Fund' donated by Tongwang Law Firm to the School of Law of Guangxi Normal University has also become a piece of affection to help students pursue their dreams in the vast sea of law.
