Recently, Hezhou City held the appointment ceremony for the legal counsel of the Fifth People's Government of the city. Liu Shaowei, a lawyer from our firm, was hired as the external legal counsel of the Fifth People's Government of Hezhou City.
In order to further exert the role of government legal counsel and ensure the professionalism of government legal counsel, the Fifth People's Government of Hezhou City conducted solicitation and selection from judicial departments, universities, law firms and other institutions within the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and finally appointed the legal counsel of the Fifth People's Government of Hezhou City, including 10 full-time legal counsels and 18 external legal counsels. The hired legal counsels will continue to provide assistance to the Hezhou Municipal People's Government in the fields of administrative decision-making, foreign investment promotion, and handling historical real estate issues, and gradually become the 'stabilizer' for the People's Government to maintain social stability, the 'think tank' for promoting economic development, and the 'booster' for standardizing administration according to law.
Liu Shaowei is a Level II partner of Guangxi Tongwang Law Firm and the director of the Construction Engineering and Real Estate Legal Affairs Department II. He has rich practical experience in construction engineering real estate disputes and unfinished building bankruptcy reorganization. In 2020, he was hired by the Guangdong Provincial Construction Engineering Standard Quota Station as an 'Expert Member of the Special Working Group for the Reform of Construction Engineering Cost Management in Guangdong Province'. In 2021, he was selected as one of the '60 Chinese Engineering Legal Service Professional Lawyers Most Worth Recommending' jointly selected by the US Engineering News Record magazine and the Chinese Construction Times. Lawyer Liu Shaowei actively participates in public legal services, and his current social part-time jobs include legislator of Nanning Municipal People's Government, arbitrator of Nanning Arbitration Commission (Nanning International Arbitration Court), arbitrator of Liuzhou Arbitration Commission, and director of the first council of Nanning Library.
