After open bidding, Guangxi Tongwang Law Firm won the bid for the legal advisory service project for the first National Student (Youth) Games.
In August 2020, the Thirteenth Meeting of the Central Committee for Comprehensively Deepening Reform deliberated and approved, and with the consent of the State Council, the State General Administration of Sports and the Ministry of Education jointly issued the "Opinions on Deepening the Integration of Sports and Education to Promote the Healthy Development of Teenagers", merging the National Youth Games and the National Student Games, renamed the National Student (Youth) Games. Approved by the State Council, Guangxi will host the first National Student (Youth) Games in July-August 2023. This is the origin of the first National Student (Youth) Games.
The first Student Youth Games will initially set up 67 competition events. Among them, Nanning City, the capital, will undertake about 50% of the summer sports events, and the vast majority of the remaining summer sports events will be undertaken by other prefecture-level cities in Guangxi; winter ice and snow sports events and a few summer sports events will be coordinated by the State General Administration of Sports and held in provinces and cities outside Guangxi.
