"Thank you for your help in getting us the work injury compensation without spending a penny." On April 24, 2022, Li, the wife of Mr. Lü, a migrant worker from Sichuan, made a special trip to the Wuzhou Legal Aid Center to present a banner to thank lawyer Tongwang for his help.

Mr. Lü accidentally fell from a stool and was injured while working on plastering and cement at a real estate project in Wuzhou. After the treatment, the Wuzhou Labor Capacity Appraisal Committee identified Mr. Lü as a level 7 disability. Because the company did not pay Mr. Lü for some medical expenses, nursing expenses, etc., Mr. Lü had no choice but to solve the problem through legal channels, so he came to the Wuzhou Legal Aid Center for help. After accepting the case, the Wuzhou Legal Aid Center immediately assigned Mo Chuying, the lawyer on duty that day from Guangxi Tongwang (Wuzhou) Law Firm, and Wu Zhiying (intern) lawyer to handle the case. The lawyer learned about the case in detail from Mr. Lü on the same day, analyzed the claims and legal basis for him, and guided him to collect and provide evidence related to the case.
On January 24, 2022, the handling lawyer went to the Wuzhou Labor and Personnel Dispute Arbitration Committee to submit materials to apply for filing a case, claiming work-related injury medical expenses, work stoppage salary, nursing expenses, and one-time disability employment subsidies for Mr. Lü.
After the court hearing, through the repeated efforts of the labor arbitrator and the handling lawyer, Mr. Lü and the company finally reached a settlement: the company paid Mr. Lü a total of 153,000 yuan for work-related injury medical expenses, work stoppage salary, nursing expenses, and one-time disability employment subsidies before April 11, 2022. On April 13, 2022, Mr. Lü received the full amount of the above funds. The case effectively safeguarded the legitimate rights and interests of migrant workers and achieved good social results.
