On March 9th, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the operation of the Nanning Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee's local legislation consulting service Guangxi Tongwang Law Firm base, Fan Weidong, Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Nanning Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, and his party of nine visited Tongwang to investigate the construction and operation of the Tongwang legislative consulting service base.
Huang Qiangguang, head of the Tongwang Legislative Consulting Service Base and director of the firm, reported to the research team on the construction and operation of the base, the basic situation of providing services for the legislation of the Standing Committee of the Nanning Municipal People's Congress, the main experiences and practices, the main problems existing at this stage, and the opinions and suggestions for future work.
Deputy Director Fan Weidong said that lawyers actively participating in local legislative services reflects the feelings and social responsibility of legal professionals. He pointed out that the quality of legislation is related to the urban development of Nanning. As an important participant in local legislation in Nanning, the Tongwang Legislative Consulting Service Base should continue to exert its professional advantages, start from different perspectives of interest, integrate resources inside and outside the law firm, pool ideas, and continuously improve the level of service to local legislation, help urban development, and promote social harmony. Regarding the opinions and suggestions reported by the Tongwang Legislative Consulting Service Base, Deputy Director Fan Weidong said that the Standing Committee of the Nanning Municipal People's Congress will carefully study, take multiple measures, and jointly solve and promote them.
In May 2018, with the approval of the Standing Committee of the Autonomous Region People's Congress, the Guangxi Local Legislation Research and Evaluation and Consulting Service Guangxi Tongwang Law Firm Base was established. This is the first local legislation research, evaluation, and consulting service base established by a provincial people's congress in a law firm in China.
In February 2021, with the approval of the Standing Committee of the Nanning Municipal People's Congress, the Nanning Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee's local legislation consulting service Guangxi Tongwang Law Firm base was officially launched.
