On the morning of March 31, representatives of the People's Congress and members of the CPPCC stationed in Jinxiu Street, Liubei District, Liuzhou City, visited Guangxi Tongwang (Liuzhou) Law Firm to conduct research and centralized study activities. Yang Ning, Vice Chairman of the Liubei District CPPCC in Liuzhou City, led a team of 17 people, including representatives of the People's Congress, members of the CPPCC, and staff from the liaison station.

During the event, the research team first conducted on-site inspections and research on the Party building work of Guangxi Tongwang (Liuzhou) Law Firm, the Liubei District People's Congress Legal Training Base, and other projects. They listened in detail to Chen Shanrong, director of Guangxi Tongwang (Liuzhou) Law Firm, on the introduction of the law firm and the Party branch.

Vice Chairman Yang Ning pointed out in his speech that from November 16 to 17, 2020, the Central Comprehensive Rule of Law Conference was held in Beijing, clarifying the guiding position of Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law in the comprehensive rule of law. Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law is rich in content, profound in exposition, rigorous in logic, and complete in system. It profoundly answers a series of major questions such as why and how to implement the comprehensive rule of law in the new era by connecting history and reality, linking international and domestic affairs, and combining theory and practice. Important spirits such as "strengthening the construction of socialist democracy and the rule of law, and improving the party and national supervision system" and "comprehensively promoting the rule of law" have been written into the "14th Five-Year Plan and the 2035 Long-term Goal Outline", which puts forward new requirements and new standards for representatives of the People's Congress and members of the CPPCC in their future performance of their duties in accordance with the law. Our representatives and members should further strengthen legal study, deepen exchanges and interactions with people in the legal profession, and truly implement the performance of duties in accordance with the law and for the people. This is also the original intention of our choice to come to the Liubei District People's Congress Legal Training Base Guangxi Tongwang (Liuzhou) Law Firm to hold a centralized study activity today.

In the subsequent centralized study activity of representatives of the People's Congress and members of the CPPCC stationed in Jinxiu Street, Chen Shanrong, Vice President of the Liuzhou Lawyers Association and member of the Liuzhou "Civil Code" Lawyer Propaganda Group, gave a lecture on the theme of "Interpretation of Highlights of the Civil Code" to the representatives of the People's Congress and members of the CPPCC who participated in the study. After giving an overview of the general principles of the "Civil Code", Chen Shanrong explained the relevant legislative highlights of the "Civil Code" from eleven aspects, such as "Green Civil Code, introduction of public order and good customs into legal application", "Defending the reputation of heroes and martyrs, promoting correct historical outlook and national outlook", "Maintaining social interests, legalizing epidemic prevention and control requisition", "Land is not recovered, ensuring that people live and work in peace and contentment", and "Neighborly harmony and harmonious coexistence, realizing the core socialist values".
