On the afternoon of January 17, 2021, the Criminal Department of Guangxi Tongwang Law Firm held the 2020 annual work summary meeting in the form of a video conference. The meeting was presided over by Chen Zhen, deputy director of the Criminal Department, and all members of the Criminal Department attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, Chen Zhen, deputy director of the Criminal Department, made a "2020 Work Summary of the Criminal Department" and put forward opinions and suggestions on the work of the Criminal Department in 2021.

Chen Zhen comprehensively reviewed and summarized the work of the Criminal Department in 2020 from five aspects: department management, business undertaking, learning and discussion, external exchanges, and experience and shortcomings. Looking back on 2020, although affected by the epidemic, business undertaking has been hindered and developed, and revenue has been maintained and increased without decreasing; in terms of integrated media, members of the Criminal Department have systematically and comprehensively carried out criminal risk control activities by making posters, shooting micro-videos, writing official account articles, and conducting online and offline lectures, providing some new ideas for the future business development of criminal lawyers. Looking forward to 2021, the Criminal Department will change with the times and take advantage of the situation to continue to work towards specialization and teamwork.

Nong Xuan, director of the Criminal Department, shared "Criminal Case 'Specialization and Teamwork' Handling Ideas" at the meeting. Director Nong Xuan said that with the development of society and the gradual refinement of the social division of labor, lawyers are also facing the issue of specialization and teamwork, and building specialized and team-based legal services and brands is the trend of criminal defense lawyers' development.

In the free speech session, all members of the Criminal Department conducted thematic exchanges on the theme of "Changes in Criminal Legal Services in the Post-epidemic Era." The members actively spoke and put forward many valuable opinions and suggestions. Deputy Director Huang Wenxin proposed in his summary that lawyers' personal development should focus on improving professional ability, establishing correct professional values and professional bottom lines, accumulating broad knowledge, and forming rigorous logical thinking and legal thinking.

At the end of the meeting, Huang Yuhua, executive deputy director of the Tongwang Institute Management Committee, made a concluding speech. He said that 2020 was a special and extraordinary year, and the epidemic swept the world, which had some impact on criminal litigation business. However, all colleagues in the Criminal Department worked together with one heart and one mind and were courageous in innovation, and with everyone's joint efforts, they stabilized their revenue. At the same time, everyone has achieved certain results through internal business learning and training, external exchanges, publicity and lectures.
