On the afternoon of September 3, 2020, Wu Jing, senior partner of Guangxi Tongwang Law Firm, was invited to give a special lecture on "A Quick Look and Analysis of the Highlights of the Contract Law of the Civil Code" for PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical Company.
PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical Company is a large-scale refining and chemical base invested and constructed by PetroChina. The 10 million tons/year oil refining project built and put into operation is an important project in the National "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" for the development of the oil refining industry. It is an important measure for PetroChina to implement the national Western Development Strategy and an important strategic project for PetroChina to adjust the layout of its oil refining and chemical business. The project is of great significance for optimizing the layout of PetroChina's oil refining and chemical business and enhancing its international competitiveness; for improving the industrial structure of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and promoting regional economic development; and for ensuring national energy supply security and meeting the demand of the refined oil market in Southwest China. During the lecture, Wu Jing focused on the institutional innovation and legal application of contract establishment, validity, and performance in the Contract Law of the Civil Code. Combining her own practical experience in legal services, she used vivid practical cases to explain the highlights such as the rules for the conclusion and delivery of electronic contracts, the validity of standard terms, the rules for the preservation and guarantee of contracts, the right of rescission of the breaching party, and the newly added content of property service contracts in a simple and profound way, and put forward targeted and practical legal suggestions.
After the training, Wen Gang, director of the Enterprise Management and Legal Affairs Department of Guangxi Petrochemical Company, made a concluding speech, highly praising the pertinence and richness of the training content, which not only enabled the company's employees to further deepen their understanding and understanding of the Contract Law of the Civil Code, but also strengthened the company's risk prevention awareness in the whole process of contract negotiation, conclusion, performance and dispute resolution.
