Li Moumou

    Native of Zhenning County, Anshun City, Guizhou Province, graduated from Chongqing Institute of Architecture and Engineering, founder of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.

   In 2018, he was selected into the list of '100 Outstanding Private Entrepreneurs in the 40 Years of Reform and Opening Up' by the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. He was also named one of the 'China Economic News Figures of the Year' in 2019 and was included in Forbes magazine's list of 'Business Persons of the Year - Multinational Business Leaders' in 2019.

   He has been included in the 'TIME' 100 Most Influential People, 100 Outstanding Private Entrepreneurs in the 40 Years of Reform and Opening Up, China's 50 Most Influential Business Leaders, Asia's Top 100 Business People, and other honorary lists.

     In September 1991, Huawei rented the third floor of the Haoye Village Industrial Building in Bao'an County, Shenzhen, as a place to develop program-controlled switches. More than fifty young employees followed Ren Zhengfei to this dilapidated factory building and began their entrepreneurial journey full of difficulties and unknowns. They divided the entire floor into four sections: single board, power supply, general testing, and preparation, plus a warehouse and kitchen. People worked day and night in the high temperature of the machines, designing and making circuit boards, switchboards, welding circuit boards, writing software, debugging, modifying, and re-debugging.
